In the late 1970s, students were prompted to improve their utilization skills when they were exposed to innovative teaching methods by Milton Erickson. One of the signature methods was utilization. Whatever the client brought to therapy, he would use it to advance therapy goals. Positive change in the client can be produced by virtue in any perceived law.
