Functional Neurologist, Doctor of Chiropractic

The Board Certified Functional Neurologicallogist is Glen Zielinski. He graduated from the college in 2000. He was the Valedictorian of his class and received many awards. He graduated first in his class, became board certified as aChiropractor in 2003 and completed his neurology training at the Carrick Institute for Clinical Neuroscience. He was hired as an assistant professor of neurology. He lectured for thousands of hours on Functional Neurology to doctors in North America and Europe. Hundreds of doctors have been qualified by him to sit for the board examination in Functional Neurology. He completed fellowship programs in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. The mechanisms of post-concussion syndrome have been published by him. He lectures on functional medicine management of neurological, neuropsychiatric, and autoimmune disorders throughout the country.

Northwest Functional Neurology was founded by him. Patients travel from all over the world to see Dr. Zielinski. Patients that live down the street share his waiting room with people from all over the world. Severe traumatic brain injuries, post-concussion syndrome, movement disorders, disorders of gait and balance, and disorders of childhood neurological development are some of the disorders his practice focuses on.

Functional Neurology was included in the scope of practice in Oregon as a result of a project spearheaded by him. He received a fellowship from the American College of Functional Neurology. The highest award in the Functional Neurology profession was given to him by the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation.

He has helped athletes recover from injuries and maximize their performance.

His work was featured in a series on sufferers of chronic diseases.

He splits his spare time between activities as a musician, martial artist, winemaker, and fending off sneak attacks from his children.
